Winner of 'The Public Vote' for the 15th South Holland Open Arts Exhibition

Couldn't quite believe what I was hearing when I got a call on Friday evening to say that I had the most votes from the public, that my artwork 'The Old Man' was their favourite in the whole exhibition!

The prestigious event, which ran at the South Holland Centre in Spalding between March 5th and 12th, showcased the best work created by professional and amateur artists who live and work in the district of South Holland and the surrounding region. The exhibition was open to any professional or amateur artist over the age of 14 living or working in Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Nottinghamshire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire or Fenland. This year’s exhibition attracted around 600 visitors and featured 77 pieces of artwork from over 220 entries including paintings, drawings, photos, mosaics and sculptures.

Hundreds of visitors enjoyed the high standard and variety of the artwork on show. Visitors to the exhibition were invited to vote for their favourite artwork. A total of 292 votes were cast during the exhibition and we can now announce that the artwork receiving the most votes and winning the Public Vote Trophy was: 142 The Old Man by Kerstin Lankey
